The Sheriff's Office will also provide training on Active Shooter, De-escalationTechniques and First Aid for interested business management / staff , church staff and congregations, civic organizations and their members. Sheriff John Carter announces that the Sheriff's Office will be offering Firearms Familarization Training for Ladies that are residents of Wayne County, Georgia. Interested applicants must be 21 years of age and legally own/possess a handgun. This will be an 8 hour course of instruction. Wayne County residents interested in applying for this course should contact Lt. Ben Robertson at (912) 427-5970 extension 1320 for applicant requirements and application packet. You may also download the application from the webiste under documents. The first set of classes are April 12th, 19th, 24th and 26th at 5:30pm at the Firing Range. You must attend all four classes to complete the course.
