Women’s Self Defense class for the College of Charleston’s Cross Country and Track and Field team

Todd Wise, of the Wayne County Sheriff’s office, conducted a women’s self defense class for the College of Charleston’s Cross Country and Track and Field team. Female athletes and coaches participated in the two day class. All that attended the class shared high remarks and great appreciation for the opportunity to learn such valuable skills. The College was so grateful that Sheriff Mosley of Wayne County firmly supported this endeavor to promote safety on their campus. Todd Wise is also involved locally as he serves on the Wayne County Board of Education representing District 3.

Media Release - Drive By Shooting Ends in Drug Bust

Sheriff R.E. “Chuck” Moseley of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Interim Chiefs Alex Reddish and Perry Morgan of the Jesup Police Department would like to announce that on March 2, 2021 the Jesup Wayne Tactical Narcotics Team, Officers and Deputies from patrol divisions of the Jesup Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, along with Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Jesup Police Department, responded to a 911 call for multiple shots fired at 218 Rogers Street. During the on-scene investigation multiple bullet holes were found in the front of the residence and in a vehicle in the front yard of the residence as well as multiple shell casings found in various locations on and around the property.
